Description
Fully thermal-lined, these curtains are all just on 2 metres long (1.98cms to be exact).
All are lined with thermal fabric, and the set over the single glass door has an extra layer of warmth, thanks to a thick woven lining on top of the thermal lining. This looks to be easily removable ... just unhook it.
All are in a rich, deep red brocade - the patterning is very subtle and not easy to see. Please note: I feel the photos make them look a little brighter/lighter red than they are in real life. I would liken them to a glass of rich port! They're really elegant.
The set over the window have plenty of width to cover the walls beside the window framing, which is 1.76cms wide.
There are two sets which easily cover a standard ranch-slider - one would cover an even wider area, as it has been made to close off a window-box alcove.... about 3 metres wide.
These curtains are in excellent condition - custom-made by Hubbers Curtains in Richmond, Nelson.
I have just bought this house and I'm listing them only because this port-wine red is just not my style. I'm sure they were many hundreds of dollars to have professionally made, but I am listing them all for just ONE DOLLAR!
Please feel free to ask questions or ask for more detailed measurements, too.
Pick-up is in The Wood, just off Cambria Street.
I think I could also pack them tightly into a very large carton for freighting around NZ, but uncertain what it would cost. Once I take them down - next week (well before this auction ends) I will have a better idea of the size of carton they would need.

Are you going to work out the postage before the auction finishes so people can pay with ping greenone2 (3784 • 8:57 pm, Wed, 26 Nov )Oh ... I was only going to do that if someone asked/was genuinely interested. If you would like me to, I will do .. before Sunday 😊 the-spot (2063 • Wednesday, 26 November 2025 )thanks i am very interested greenone2 (3784 • 10:38 pm, Wed, 26 Nov )Right, then! I'll go in search of a large clean carton :-D the-spot (2063 • Wednesday, 26 November 2025 )Seller added 2 photos Seller comment Thursday, 27 November 2025 I have packed half the curtains into the carton. There is just enough room for the others once I take the down. The box is heavy already! (I've added a couple of photos). The measurements are 43cms high, 29cms wide and 69cms long. Aramex did not give any quotes through the App. I have added NZ Post's quotes to the shipping section. Seller comment Thursday, 27 November 2025 I didn't think postage would be that much to the ni aramex may be a bit cheaper but if it's not there we'll can't do much about greenone2 (3784 • 9:20 pm, Thu, 27 Nov )I think I understand you comment ...? I fed the measurements of the carton into the quoting area of the shipping section twice. Both times, Aramex only came up for local delivery (within in Nelson). I will try once more, but I doubt it will suddenly change. Using a large bag is an option, usually, but there is a restriction to the measurements of a large bag - about half what these curtains would be in a bag. the-spot (2063 • Thursday, 27 November 2025 )I tried to get a 'fresh' shipping quote, just now. TradeMe will not let me do that. The current quotes have been 'locked in.' Considering what these professionally made curtains are worth, the postage is really not that bad (imho). Folded neatly and compactly together, they do make a very heavy and large bundle. Seller comment Thursday, 27 November 2025 A box is better we have had very heavy rain here so if I manage to buy could you place in a plastic wrapping greenone2 (3784 • 9:54 pm, Thu, 27 Nov )Yes, absolutely. I do have some large plastic bags. the-spot (2063 • Thursday, 27 November 2025 )
