A beautiful, probably antique Qashqai kilim. Approximately 2.80 x 1.08 m (280 x 108 cm). Typical Qashqai pattern for kilims of the period. A dealer known to us dated it to early last century, but well before the 1940s in any case.

Great condition for its age, but showing some mild colour run on the white field from previous washing. No repairs or fraying. Full headends. Intact selvedges. Great colours, and a nice fine weave (a much finer weave utilising hand-spun wool compared to modern kilims). Clean, as it has only been used as a wall hanging since it was last washed about 15 years ago.
