This auction for (x10) 270 x 270 x 40mm fire tiles ($3.50 ea)

These very high insulating fire tiles (slabs) are great for a multitude of applications in heat control processing and, as thermal barriers in various industrial and domestic applications.

• Wood fire hearths and wall surrounds
• Oven and fireplace floors
• Wall Linings
• Small furnace & forge construction
• Small scale R & D projects
• Fireplace linings
• Free Standing Wood fires, internal insulating tiles (save money and make your own replacements)
• Commercial restaurants, etc.

For any application where high performance, fire resistant insulation is required, then these tiles are the answer.

Very High thermal shock capacity. Pic # 6 shows tile at temperature circa 1000C quenched instantaneously in cold water without any deformation or degradation.

High-performance refractory membranes can also be applied to the tile face to increase performance, particularly for high temperature, forge/furnace applications.

NOTE: These tiles are not suitable as the principle cooking surface in wood-fired ovens. Please see Pic #8 for our recommended installation configuration. At the centre is our heat-sink (ie cooking tile) which is the main cooking surface.
