How I made my Seed Huller

Since we jumped ship, we grow our own grains, hull our own seed, grind our own flour and that's a real short sentence but a lot of work to actually get there.

Some seed fall out of the heads and some like to put up a fight. This huller is designed for the latter.

Seeds like Buckwheat and Sunflower for example just need that little encouragement to get the heck out of that husk to be eaten.

Your seed needs to be dry and is best to be a reasonable average size.

The machine is adjustable for different size seeds.

The end product is the husks get cracked and rubbed off and both the seed and the husk drops into a collection tray.

Winnowing, is then required with one of my other machines soon to be posted up on TM.
