Collected in Waikato in an area were honey is harvested from wild populations of naturally occurring Leptospermum scoparium with high levels of MGO (Methylglyoxal), DHA (dihydroxyacetone)

MGO (Methylglyoxal) Methylglyoxal is what gives manuka honey its unique antibacterial qualities. Found in high quantities only in some New Zealand manuka honey

DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) A naturally-occurring compound found in high quantities only in manuka flower nectar and honey. A precursor for methylglyoxal.
