This is an excellent opportunity for a maverick BAS professional looking for a challenge with plenty of autonomy.
As background, this is a sole Director practice with a client base that is predominantly consulting based fees. He has growth clients across a broad range of SME's. Most of his time is spent with clients and at present he outsources the compliance work.

This role is to support the Director by taking ownership of the tax and compliance management function. They key focus is to manage the work flow of the practice, all of the review function, high level tax consulting and managing the business as a whole. There would not be hands on account preparation but more so review.

The Director is looking for a highly skilled BAS Senior or Manager that is looking to step outside of the larger practice environment and be more concerned with balancing lifestyle to suit personal circumstances, yet enjoying the challenge of a role to a part time level.
This is a chance to test yourself while being given a lot of autonomy just to get on with it and not have anyone sitting over your shoulder.

The key requirements for this role are:

  • At least 8 years of CA BAS experience gained in a mid-tier or above sized CA firm ideally
  • Excellent tax knowledge and be well versed in being able to offer tax solutions to a range of SME clients
  • Be well organised
  • Outstanding client management skills and wider business management ability
  • Able to confidently with systems Xero and MYOB AO
  • At least 3 - 4 years review experience
  • Ideally CA qualified.

Salary: $120K - $150K pro rata to 20 hours per week pending experience
