About the role

This newly created role will report directly to the financial accountant and will be responsible for three direct reports. This pivotal role within the finance team will

  • Assist the finance team to deliver high quality, timely and accurate financial reporting at an operating and board level
  • Take ownership of financial month end closing processes, procedures and reconciliations
  • Continuously identify opportunities for efficiencies within the Group
  • File GST & PAYE returns in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support our service delivery staff by providing value financial information, recommendations and training
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and compliance

Sound like you? Ideally you will need to be someone who has the following:

  • Two - five years accounting experience in a team and experience as a manager or leading teams/projects
  • Displayed and demonstrated that you're proactive, quick to learn and able to intelligently and logically problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships and effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated the ability to understand and apply 'best practise' processes
  • The ability to present information in a meaningful, user friendly manner
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy and proven experience in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
