Our Company

Predator Contracting Ltd is one of New Zealand's premier wild animal control companies and has been a key player in the pest control industry in the South Island for over 10 years. Our Company mission is “To be a diverse and sustainable pest control contractor which meets or exceeds the expectations of its clients".
We specialise in the control of Possums, Mustelids, Pigs, Deer, Wallabies, Goats, Rabbits and Hares.
As a result of securing exciting new work streams in the North Island, we are increasing the capacity of our current South Island team based in Mosgiel.

The Role

Will see you work as part of a team and will include pest control through the use of mechanical and chemical methods.

The successful candidate will have the following;
• An ability to deliver tasks efficiently and on time.
• Full NZ drivers licence is required (must be able to drive manual).
• A willingness to work away from home for up to 10 days.
• Be passionate about protecting New Zealand's biodiversity and have a love of the outdoors.
• Be physically fit, drug free and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
• Have a positive "Can Do" attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Enjoy a variety in your work and be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Able to contribute to a team environment and follow instructions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Possess a desire to learn and gain new skills and be able to apply these in your working situation.
• Display professional behaviour in all that you do.
• Will have knowledge with an ability to operate hand held devices such as GPS's and PDA’s.

The perfect candidate will also have the following;
• Industry experience with industry-specific qualifications.
• A Controlled Substance Licence (CSL), Approved Handler Certificate for relevant substances and a firearms licence. These are preferable but not essential, however, you must be able to obtain these licences (these require a Police check as to fit and proper status).
