Farmlands Grain and Seed are a market leader in grain and seed procurement and trading and we have an opportunity for a Grain Trader / Logistics Co-ordinator to join our team in the Central South Island area.

In this role, you'll work with a range of stakeholders including grain buyers, farmer suppliers, merchant traders and the wider Farmlands team , to buy and sell grain and pulses and liaise with arable growers, end users and transport companies to ensure timely deliveries.

As a market expert, you'll be up-to-date with the latest industry trends on pricing and products, not just across New Zealand but worldwide.

Attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of the total Sale, Purchase and delivery process involving transaction execution and processing is paramount.

Our ideal applicant will have extensive grain industry trading and logistics experience, with substantial international and domestic market knowledge.

A high level of commercial acumen is required as you apply your grain market trading experience and industry knowledge to the execution of our grain sale and purchase contract execution and subsequent processing.

You'll also have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as you interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the industry.
