We have a great opportunity for a skilled supervisor to join our Contracting leadership team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be working alongside our other Field Operations Supervisor to ensure that our customers are consistently getting a high standard of service. You will be responsible for ensuring our employees in the field are performing in a safe and efficient way in order to achieve desired business results. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Employee leadership and mentoring
  • Being a key point of contact for customers and sales
  • Quality control
  • Keeping documentation organised and up to date
  • Health and safety compliance
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience leading or managing a team in the agricultural industry is preferred
  • Ability to utilise digital technology and learn new systems 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of self-motivation, common sense and aptitude
  • Experience in straw & silage operations
  • Class 5 licence would be an advantage
  • Geographical knowledge of the mid Canterbury region would be preferred
Carrfields Contracting offers ongoing training and development opportunities and competitive remuneration packages commensurate with experience. There will be rostered weekends during the harvest season and the position includes a vehicle and mobile phone.
