Due to a vacancy, a promising opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to join one of New Zealand’s leading multidisciplinary civil contractors based in Timaru. You will be managing a team of dedicated field service technicians and in charge of planning and co-ordinating the busy workshop. You will be expected to interact with a wide range of stakeholders and complete personnel management. Working with an extensive fleet of heavy machinery you will have the opportunity to continue to develop your technical skills and experience.

To be successful in this role you will need to have-
• Trade Certification with heavy equipment experience within the New Zealand or International market
• At least 5 years’ experience as a field service technician or in a leadership role; however this position would also suit an experienced mechanic looking for the next step in their carer
• Heavy transport licences would be advantageous
• Excellent communication, planning, organising and reporting skills
• Proven leadership experience/skills
• Excellent understanding of KOMATSU and CAT equipment
