About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to cover night shift in our Penrose branch. In this role, you will make sure that our vehicles and associated equipment are maintained according to company policy and vendor recommended programmes through regular technical inspections. This is a role which provides 24hr 7 day call-out response on a roster basis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that vehicle and unit servicing is conducted in accordance with the company Preventative Maintenance Programme.
  • Liaising with Operations Supervisors for availability of vehicles for maintenance.
  • Maintaining vehicle records by annotating all inspections, servicing and repairs on the job sheet and the in-cab Vehicle History File.

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a National Certificate in Heavy Auto Engineering and have experience in the maintenance of heavy road vehicles. Preference will be given to those with hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance experience and/or experience in automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis.

A Qualification in welding to AS/NZS 2980 would be an advantage as would experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a Class 4 Driver's Licence.
