WORKSHOP MANAGER

As a Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the efficiency, profitability, quality and H&S of a workshop based in Queenstown.


Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance of the shop employees against agreed KPI’s to ensure required level of service is being provided and that it is being done efficiently.
• Generate new business and maintain existing accounts.
• Monitor monthly financial results to ensure each business is being operated profitably at all times throughout the year.
• Strong Customer focus
• Preparation of documentation including - invoicing, scope/variation, QA
• Prepare cost estimates for clients as well as assist project teams with tenders
• Administer service and maintenance agreements that fall under department responsibilities.
• Responsible for the employing and termination of staff.
• Development of Rental Car business including policies, procedures, marketing etc.

Skills and experience:

• A great team leader – you lead by example and listen to your staff
• A willingness to learn new skills and a flexible approach to work tasks.
• Excellent management experience
• Mechanical experience preferred
• Take initiative and problem solve when needed
• Be able to prioritise effectively and also adapt to changes efficiently when needed
• Computer literacy is required, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• A passion for all things Automotive



AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

We are a busy workshop at Queenstown that works on a wide variety of vehicles.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following attributes:

• General automotive knowledge
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and team skills
• Knowledge of mechanical skills in repairing and servicing motor vehicles
• Diagnosing faults and advising of remedies
• Carry out engine repairs and maintenence
• Hardworking and able to work under pressure
• Attention and eye for detail
• Able to follow instructions from Management
• Carry out other tasks as and when required by
• At least 2 years of experience
• Full drive licence
• Clean criminal records
