Our busy business looking for experienced Car panel beater and car paint. Applicant must have 3 years relevant work experience as panel beater/car paint. Prefer have relevant qualification (skill certificate).

Job Description:

1. Report on a daily basis to supervisor to discuss daily work schedule
2. Assist with opening of workshop and moving cars in and out
3. Remove damaged parts as required, repair panel, or any structural damage as discuss with supervisor
4. Refit new parts, put vehicle back together as per manufactures specifications
5. Advise supervisor of any stock or parts required
6. Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy, advise supervisor of any hazardous spills or damaged/faulty equipment
7. Advise of any faults noticed whether you consider they are related to the damaged/repaired area of the vehicle or if the owner should be aware of the problem
8. When requested assistance may be required in other workshop areas to maintain a timely return of the customers vehicle
9. Follow house rules and maintain a safe working environment
10. Some driving may be required from time to time
11. Complete jobs in a timely manner in accordance with supervisor and advise if there are any delays or unseen damage once repairs are under way


1. Sprays surfaces of vehicles with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel – coat, or lacquer, using spray gun
2. Cleans grease and dirt from panels, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water
3. May use acid, wire brush, steel wool or sanders to remove rust from metal
4. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
5. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
6. Sand panel surfaces between coats to obtain smooth finished
7. Selects and mixes paint to produce desired colour matching and shades, and according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer
8. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose, using wrenches
9. Adjusts sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting techniques
10. Paints panels by directing spray onto work surface to apply primer or finishing coats
11. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush
12. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
13. May touch up paintwork, heat and spray polish onto vehicles after they are finished
14. May paint designs or stencils to vehicles
