Almost every family in New Zealand needs personal insurance-especially if they have mortgage or children. However, most clients don't know how much insurance they need or which products or providers to use.


Aurora Insurance is one of the largest writers of new business in the New Zealand personal insurance market. We believe that most successful brokers operate at a higher standard of performance and client satisfaction with commission-based remuneration that includes clawbacks of
commission if the client cancels within two years. This incentivises brokers to only offer advice that will suit the client long term.


However, we are looking to hire our first broker on an employee basis. Due to industry risk of clawbacks, as well as the high cost of client acquisition and overheads, this individual need to have at least 6 months of industry experience with a proven track record of high conversion and excellent
persistency.



Our brokers visit clients in their homes after work hours and conduct insurance reviews. This will involve weekly door knocking in the case of wrong phone numbers. You will need to get to know your clients personally as well as come to understand their financial situation in order to provide useful insurance advice. This is a permanent full time position paid by salary of $40,000pa.


We will provide training on our particular advice process. You will need to possess excellent personal time management skills in order to manage your client meetings outside of work hours and have a sound knowledge of New Zealand personal insurance products and providers in order to give excellent advice. You will also need to know how to grow a portfolio of clients and maintain high book persistency.


Job Requirements
-At least 6 months experience in face to face Personal Insurance Broking.

-Sound knowledge about New Zealand personal insurance industry.

-Prove that you can grow a portfolio of clients with high persistency.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and personal time management.

-Own car and full drivers licence

-Own laptop and phone.
