Our client is a New Zealand Company dedicated to offering interior fit out solutions to commercial, the majority being retail, clients.
The business is about partnerships with strong and reputable relationships across a wide range of business sectors experiencing strong growth.
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to lead and manage this key and newly designated production area.
The Production business area is now facing substantial growth and this is an opportunity for an experienced and highly organised person to establish and maintain all the processes and controls to ensure that this function is highly effective and efficient.
The work environment provides for an opportunity to work with experienced and friendly teams.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
• Set up and maintain the inwards and outwards goods systems, processes and work methods
• Manage the freight and yard, unloading and loading of shipments ensuring optimum use of space for storage and loading
• Liaise with cross functional teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Show familiarity with processes that follow jobs from the client requirements to the install and delivery
• Work to deadlines and work to contractor and client timetables

The successful candidate will have:
• Background in logistics, manufacturing or production and a good understanding of these processes
• 4-5 years inwards outwards goods in a supervisory role
• Forklift licence, Biosecurity checks certification; with HT licence a bonus.
• Excellent numerical, organizational and analytical skills
• Very good problem-solving skills; attention to details and accuracy
• A friendly positive attitude

Although the preference is for an experienced candidate, if you have a business background with strong IT systems and process experience and are looking for a career switch this may be the opportunity you are looking for.

Wage rate $25- $30 per hour to be negotiated and based on experience and track record.
