The team at Atlas Tilt Slab, located in Silverdale, require a Precast Worker to join their team.
Atlas Concrete has been in business for 70+ years, supplying ready mix concrete, precast concrete, aggregate and other related supplies to the wider Auckland and Northland regions. We have 9 branches across 4 divisions; Atlas Concrete, Atlas Quarries, Mt Rex Shipping and Atlas Tilt Slab.
The main purpose of the role: Is to carry out all aspects of the production process including but not limited to: steel fixing, mould preparation, mould setting, placing components, placing and finishing concrete, post pour remedial and dispatch. You will be required to follow and implement shop drawing information accurately and work to timelines to ensure productivity levels are maintained.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Carry out all aspects of the production process including but not limited to: steel fixing, mould preparation, mould setting, placing components, placing and finishing concrete, post pour remedial and dispatch.
- Work with the production team, sub-contractors and supervisors to provide timely delivery and quality production of concrete which meets shop drawings accurately.
- Assist with improvements to the production practices and processes to meet operational requirements.
- Health & Safety standards are maintained throughout all work.
Key requirements for the role are:
- Experience working in a manufacturing / production processing factory environment
- Previous precast experience is essential
- Understanding of all Health & Safety requirements in a production / processing plant
- Customer focused with very good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Having a relevant Crane Operator certificate would be highly beneficial

Note: Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and are required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. On-going random drug testing is carried out.
