Are you passionate about education? This is a Delivery Manager role with a difference! The Ministry of Education have a number of opportunities nationwide to reshape our schools into better learning environments for future generations.
You will be a first-class problem solver, comfortable working with a diverse range of people, personalities and challenges and show a genuine commitment to creating a better future for our children. You will also have a relevant Project Management or Engineering Qualification and be comfortable managing the design and building of multiple projects, small and large, simultaneously.
Key role responsibilities include:
- Working closely with schools to develop a broad variety of projects
- Driving for on time and on budget delivery to a high standard
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management
- Reporting and administration as a key element of this role
- Fostering a continuous improvement culture.
Sound knowledge of the local construction market, relevant building legislation and a commercial focus will ensure you thrive in this role!
About the Ministry of Education:
The Ministry of Education manages one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand, with over 2,100 primary and secondary state schools, over 8,000 hectares of land with a carrying value of $17.2 billion.
This role sits within Education Infrastructure Service (EIS) which undertakes approximately 3,000 projects a year, a combination of Ministry and School led projects costing at least $800m per annum.
Capital Works is a team within the EIS, which has been established to manage rebuilding, remodeling and development of new schools across New Zealand.
