Trade Me is one of New Zealand's busiest online platforms, with over 850,000 people (on average) visiting our sites and apps every day.

The internet never sleeps and issues can crop up at every turn, so to help support our Disputes team we're looking for a seasoned customer service representative. Our team deliver Trade Me members an awesome online experience by preventing fraudulent, dishonest and illegal activity on the site, assisting with disputes that arise with trades and providing high-quality customer service via phone and email.

Please note that the hours for this role are specific. We're looking for a full-timer who can work the following hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm. Please only apply if you can commit to this shift.

Each day brings fresh challenges, but here's a snapshot of what you can expect:
- Assessing and facilitating the resolution of not-as-described complaints and general trade disputes, through alternative disputes resolution.
- Fairly and consistently enforcing our site policies, including intellectual property and product safety concerns.
- Providing friendly, high-quality support to our members on safe trading practices and responsibilities.
- Working with colleagues across the business to ensure the trust and safety of our marketplace is maintained.
- Processing complaints under the Harmful Digital Communications Act including oversight of our message boards.
- Responsibility for drafting submissions and representing Trade Me at the Disputes Tribunal.
