Bear Park is family owned and family focussed, running premium Reggio-inspired centres located throughout Auckland. We pride ourselves on high quality educational environments, supportive teams and looking after our teachers.
We are on the lookout for qualified teachers to start in 2019 at several centrally located centres.
Here’s what we can offer you:
You will keep learning; we are big supporters of ongoing education. We provide regular paid professional development sessions. You will be introduced to industry experts, including leading Reggio consultants, and have opportunities to learn from them on a regular basis. We even send our top performers to study in Reggio Emilia in Italy!
Our teachers are provided with three hours of quality non-contact time each week, with your team, for collaborative planning and documentation time. Covered by dedicated planning relief teams.
Our excellent teacher/child ratios mean that you can be part of an experienced, supportive co-teaching team with other qualified teachers.
- Career Advancement Opportunities
We’ve been in business for 32 years and we’re continuing to expand. More centres mean more career opportunities for you! We offer a leadership development programme to our aspiring leaders and always aim to promote from within.
You will receive support from an internal pedagogical mentor. Someone who has your best interests at heart, to help you become the best teacher you can be.
Our centres are purposefully designed and filled with top quality resources to create natural learning spaces. We’re also strongly committed to helping our environment and communities through sustainable practices.
We provide two extra sick leave days per year, flu vaccinations, staff rewards and even time off on your birthday! We also run a fun and informative staff wellness programme for your holistic wellbeing, led by an external practitioner.
We currently have some limited opportunities for reduced hours. If this is of interest to you, please enquire in your cover letter.
Relocation assistance within NZ, teacher registration fees and first aid training are also on offer if required.
What do you need to show us? That you love what you do. That your teaching style and philosophy are strongly connected with the Reggio Emilia approach. And that you’re a confident communicator who continually strives to provide the best possible learning environment.
