An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time, qualified and passionate Room Leader to join our teaching team, at Y Kids Early Learning. You will be leading four fabulous kaiako.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Room Leader who has knowledge of respectful practice and is able to implement this confidently, providing exceptional quality care for our tamariki. Being Pikler and Gerber inspired, we would ideally love someone who also has an understanding of this philosophy and guiding principles. Strong leadership qualities are a must and you will be leading a fabulous team of teachers in the over 2’s. The ability to successfully lead a team, while encouraging and inspiring them to be the best they can be through a growth mindset and knowledge of pedagogical practices.
Must have experience in
- The delivery of the curriculum and being able to successfully implement planning and assessment.
- Being a team leader.
- Being ever changing and growing with the team.
- Reflection of different ways to practice.
- Successful teaching strategies.
- Mentoring staff through their teacher registration.
- Effective communication with staff, tamariki, whanau and management.
- Using initiative and taking the lead.
- Knowledge of online portfolios.
- The ability to motivate and Inspire others.
- Connecting through the heart.
- Encouraging positive team culture.
- Commitment to centre and personal philosophy.
