This established local consultancy provides first class engineering solutions to clients in New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region. A respectable local business they benefit from plenty of repeat business and are involved in large and challenging projects across various sectors including healthcare, institutional, education and high-rise commercial/residential developments.
Due to continued success and growing demand for their building services consulting services they now seek a Senior/Lead Fire Protection Engineer to play a key role in their award winning building services team in Auckland. You will be working in a diverse group of engineers and technicians and get to use your consulting experience and technical ability to design and deliver fire protection solutions for building services projects from concept to completion. Projects cover convention centres, hospitals, hotels, university and airports. This role will take the lead across New Zealand and may even cross over into Australia for you if you tick all the boxes and more......
Senior/Lead Fire Protection Engineer
Joining the Auckland Fire Protection/Engineering team, you will be involved in many facets of a consulting role from client management, technical guidance, conceptual design, etc. of fire protection services (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms) working alongside all sectors of the building services team. You will also lead and help grow the small team of engineers assisting with bidding and winning work, coordinating work flows, assigning work packages, engaging with clients, fronting projects, etc.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Minimum 12 years + experience working as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in a consultancy or contractor business
- Tools and/or tertiary qualification
- Experience in AutoCAD and ideally Revit MEP
- Excellent time management and team work skills
- Excellent English communication skills - written and verbal
- Desire to run a small team delivering projects nationwide
