The Fletcher Construction Company is a leading general contractor, delivering a wide range of projects. The CityEdge Alliance Project, will build the 22km long four-lane wide Hamilton section of the Waikato expressway, connecting Ngaruawahia to Tamahere and Cambridge. The project will comprise of 17 bridges crossing nine local roads, three deep gullies and a busy railway line.

We are currently looking for range of engineers with at least 3 years’ experience to join our team. The positions available will be across Structures, Project, Quality and Section.

As an engineer you will be working across the on project where you will plan, organise and control the technical and engineering aspects of our construction projects and to ensure that the performance targets under their control are met.

To thrive in this varied role, you will have an engineering qualification and relevant site experience in civil construction works such as bridges, foundations, concrete structures, drainage and general civil works. You will have outstanding communication skills coupled with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

The role itself, requires liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. In depth understanding of our client and what their expectations are, as well as ensuring you develop a working knowledge of our contractual requirements is paramount. As a result you will be heavily involved in ensuring that we are capturing all the information we require. A solid understanding of quality principles around ISO 9001:2008 will be key. You will actively promote a positive quality culture while providing quality leadership, engineering solutions, insights and quality system development. You will also have some involvement with auditing processes to ensure information is captured appropriately and in a timely manner.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent all round communication skills, be comfortable interacting with various stakeholders at different levels. You will have a good understanding of complex processes, systems and document management. You will possess sound knowledge of relevant computer applications, particularly Excel and Aconex.
