Our client is looking for a Trainee Line Mechanic to join their Distribution Team. Training and support will be given to achieve full qualifications.

Northpower is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to add to their experienced and established teams. You will receive support and training to fully qualify as a Line Mechanic in their Distribution team. Supporting the construction and maintenance of electrical networks, through installing and replacing electricity network pole structures, overhead conductors and electrical equipment, the installation and replacement of underground distribution assets including new subdivisions.


  • Supporting construction and maintenance of electrical overhead network assets
  • Working on underground electrical network assets
  • Meet customer and regulatory requirements

  • Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements

Skills and experience:

  • Proven work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Full Class 1 driver's licence
  • Class 2/HT driver's licence (Advantage)
  • Commitment to a skilled career path
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
