We are looking for an NDT Inspector in our Industrial NDT & Materials Services team based in Christchurch. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary responsibilities of the role is to provide NDT testing, welding inspection and consultancy services to light and heavy industry to clients to help them solve their maintenance problems and to perform specialist NDT checks and evaluations of existing plant, welds, mechanical failures, corrosion and erosion and advising and supervising repairs.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated candidate who will have the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job with a high level of accomplishment. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings, getting messages across that have the desired effect. You will provide the highest quality services and meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. You will be able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions, see hidden problems and look beyond the obvious.
A successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of five years practical NDT industry experience, NDT Level II certifications - Eddy Current Qualification is a must. Other qualifications such as: Radiographic or Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic particle testing, Dye - Penetrant testing, Phased array, TOFD are beneficial. This job involves travelling and therefore a New Zealand driver licence is required.
