Our client is a leading building materials manufacturer in Penrose, Auckland, who have pioneered building technologies and established themselves as a market leader in New Zealand and on a global level. As part of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Fitter will work as part of a well skilled team who focus on reliability and preventative maintenance across a highly automated production facility. This position suits someone who is well organised, has strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of working in a heavy industrial plant such as steel, mining, pulp & paper etc. The site runs a 24/5 roster across 3 x 8 hour shifts. This is an excellent employer with strong opportunities to progress your career.
To be suitable for this role:
- Level 4 mechanical trade qualified
- Experienced with Fast moving, highly automated production
- Fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Preventative maintenance skills
- Pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors - highly desirable
- Health and safety focussed
- Able to work unsupervised
