They have 4 established manufacturing facilities located throughout Australia and New Zealand and are in the process of commissioning their 5th and newest facility based in Christchurch. This plant will primarily manufacture and supply cans used for infant formula.
With the start up of this facility and the requirement to manufacture on a 24/5 operation, Jamestrong are looking for a Can Maker, who will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the can line, including the changeover and minor maintenance of machinery.
Existing can makers by trade would be the first option, however, any previous experience with high speed, conveyor driven manufacturing machines will be considered. If you are already a senior machine operator and have an engineering qualification or prior experience in fitting and turning, this could be a great next step for your career.
In summary, we are looking for someone who is/ has,
- Qualified or experienced in a mechanical engineering related trade

- Able to follow SOPs and adherent to food safety requirements (HACCP and ISO 22000)
