The Communications Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all of Council’s communications, both internal and external, as well as designing, managing and maintaining all paper and web based material. The ability to maintain positive relationships will be an important attribute of the successful applicant, as well as being confident to advise and assist staff and elected members with their communication needs. The position will also be responsible for promotional events.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in managing media and with design programmes. Previous Local Government experience is preferable but not essential.

This position is 20 hours per week.
