The consents team has strong focus on improving our practices so we're after someone who takes pride in their work, a passion for continuous improvement and has sound technical expertise in resource consents and RMA processes. With recent decisions issued on the Proposed District Plan, adaptability and being a good problem solver are essential skills required for the role. Incorporating technology, being efficient and effective and fostering relationships with customers are key focus areas for the consents team going forward, so demonstrated experience in these areas will be of benefit.

Your ability to work effectively across a wide range of issues and enable a customer-focussed environment is important to your success in the role. As part of the resource consents and compliance leadership group you will be responsible for empowering your team and providing direction through supportive coaching and mentoring.
The right candidate for this role has:
- strong knowledge and understanding of the RMA, particularly resource consents
- excellent communication skills
- a demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach
- a relevant tertiary qualification in resource management or planning, and
- minimum of seven years' experience.
