The Social Services Co-ordinator position is central to the kaupapa of Manaaki Ora Trust -Tipu Ora and achievement of an integrated model of service delivery. The position is responsible for the coordination of service delivery in the Family Start programme, Children’s Team Lead Professionals and Elder Abuse Response service.
This position will provide leadership, coordination, case management support and supervision to support professional social work practice and oversee the successful delivery of all programmes. A very clear understanding of strength based practice and the Kaupapa of all programmes is required. The role will work within an integrated model of service delivery across all Manaaki Ora Trust services.
The role will influence and direct the teams to maintain and enhance the services level of practice excellence and capability and is responsible for ensuring compliance with recognised social work and other relevant professional bodies practice standards, policy and tools and providing leadership in strengths-based practice.

• Tertiary qualification with relevant experience in Social Work Practice, management and delivery to children and their families.
• Experience in Clinical Supervision of social work practice and operational management
• Committed to the integration of services for Whanau centred care
• Have exemplary leadership skills and are motivated to build positive relationships to empower others to exceed their own expectations
• A qualification in supervision or commitment to work towards achieving qualification.
• Effective leadership, networks, relationships and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to set priorities, solve problems & implement solutions to deadline.
• Strong understanding of Tikanga Maori and a working knowledge of Te Reo (fluency preferred).
• The ability to inspire, engage and deliver results within a results based accountability (outcomes) approach
• Knowledge & skill with computers, patient management system databases.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
