Nurse Maude is looking for an Experienced Community Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Rapid Response Support Worker team.
As a leader in delivering health and support services in the community, we need to know we've got the best team possible to make that happen.
We have an exciting opportunity for a New Zealand NZQA qualified, experienced Support Worker or Caregiver to join our Rapid Response Support Worker team.
In this busy and varied team role you would work independently in our client's home to assist them with their domestic assistance and personal care needs.
Rapid response is a team of support workers lead by enrolled nurses. Together, the team provides care to clients for approximately 3-6 weeks whilst their pattern of care is established. The Support worker provides care as identified by the Registered Nurse
The role includes both:

  • Personal care - helping people with showering, dressing and getting in and out of bed, giving medication, changing catheter bags and compression hosiery and any other service that is required..
  • Domestic assistance - cleaning, meal preparation and shopping


  • 8 hours shifts - full time. Morning 0730-1600, afternoon 1300-21.30
  • There is a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts which occur seven days a week. This includes weekends and public holidays

To be eligible to be part of the team you will need all of the following:

  • A minimum of Level 2 aged care qualification - National Foundation skills certificate
  • A minimum of two years' experience in New Zealand Aged Care
  • A full New Zealand drivers licence
  • To have completed or be willing to complete level 3 Core Competencies
  • To be willing to work as part of a roster
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
