Turuki Health Care is a kaupapa Maori organisation delivering integrated health and social services to the wider Counties Manukau and ADHB area. We provide quality, accessible and affordable health care and support to whanau.

We are seeking 2 x Registered Nurses who have a special interest in child health within a primary and community setting.

The key to this position is your passion to work within a school based setting working with children aged 5 – 18 years old and their whanau. You will offer a full range of primary health care nursing services while being supported by a team of health professionals.

You will have a high standard of clinical skills, be comfortable supporting children and their whanau both in school and at their homes. You will also be able to work alongside a Community Health Worker to ensure whanau are well informed, engaged and supported in the programme. The successful applicant must be prepared to develop an understanding of the kaupapa and policies of Turuki Health Care which include staff engaging with the Takarangi Competency Framework.

You will need to have great communication and interpersonal skills, experience and passion in dealing with high needs communities, be able to work alone and in a team environment. Be able to provide quality care to our children. You will be based in a primary school within mangere.

You will have:
- Great computer skills
- Professional and “can do” attitude towards ensuring good outcomes for tamariki and their whanau
- You must have a full drivers licence and reliable transport as this position is community based
- You will have the ability to prioritise and plan and have a passion for child health
- Current practice cert and indemnity insurance
- 2 years nursing experience as a minimum
