We are currently seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to help us achieve greater outcomes for the ASD community. This is a unique and varied role, primarily involving the management of our communication channels and platforms, and the coordination of projects and events. The Community Engagement Coordinator will work closely with our Chief Executive and Business Manager to develop ideas and projects that increase and affirm Autism New Zealand’s reach and impact.
The successful candidate will have:
• Great initiative and enthusiasm and a go-getter attitude
• The ability to think creatively and develop and implement great ideas
• A knowledge of the autism spectrum and related conditions
• A strong background in project and event management
• Whizz-kid social media skills and vision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
If you think you might be a great person for this role but don’t necessarily have qualifications in the above areas, we would still love to hear from you. Fundamentally, we are looking for someone who can fit well into our national office team, with the right attitude and energy for making a genuine difference in the community.
This is a fixed-term position, for six months and 20 hours per week.
