“Supporting Families Caring for Children”
The Open Home Foundation Auckland is looking for Foster Parents without dependent children who are willing to care for children or young people in emergency situations. You will be providing care for children/young people aged 0-17 years, likely to be teenagers, who need short term placements of up to 6 weeks in emergency situations.
A reimbursement package will be paid, and training and 24/7 support will be provided.
OHF is committed to mobilising the mainstream Christian community to serve Tamariki and Whanau in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The ideal couple will have:
Have a passion to support the family/whanau by helping to create a ‘home away from home’ environment for children/young people
An in-depth understanding of how the role recognises the special relationship between Maori and Tauiwi
Enjoy a sense of fun
Be excellent at quickly establishing confidence, rapport and routine with the children/young people
Have NZ residency and a full driver’s license
