We are offering the unique opportunity to expand your nursing portfolio by working in a secondary school setting.
We are looking to appoint a nurse for the role of school nurse at Putaruru College. This is a 0.5 FTE part-time position. An independent contractor would also be considered.
As the successful candidate, you will be committed to improving the health and health literacy of New Zealand's youth. Our aim is to enhance the ability of young people to manage their own health and wellbeing, and ensure they have an understanding of how to access the health services they require.
To be successful in this role you will:
- be a registered nurse with a current annual practicing certificate
- have previous experience in working with youth
- a minimum of 5 years nursing experience
- be able to work in a culturally appropriate, safe and responsive manner
