Starship Hospital is looking for experienced registered nurses with an interest in paediatric oncology/haematology who are wanting to increase their skills in this specialty. Paediatric nursing experience would be beneficial in addition to well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family-centred care. Working on Wards 27A and 27B, you'll provide complex oncology and haematology care for children and young people from throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. You'll have the opportunity to develop expertise in the care of patients receiving a variety of treatments such as blood product support, chemotherapy and palliative care.
We offer a comprehensive orientation package backed up with strong support from the senior nursing team, and an opportunity to gain huge personal and professional rewards in this exciting specialty.
- You must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current APC
- You need to have at least two year's nursing experience
