- We have a mixture of part and full time permanent positions available.

Our surgical wards are fast paced and, as well as general surgery, the surgical wards have an emphasis on liver, pancreas, oesophageal, colorectal and endocrine disorders, gastroenterology and trauma. You will have the opportunity to work in leading edge areas such as high dependency nursing, bariatric surgery, advanced nutrition and palliative care. The work is both challenging and rewarding with patients often having complex care needs.
There are 3 main surgical teams and an excellent multidisciplinary team who are skilled at providing holistic care for our patients.

- Experience in caring for all types of speciality patients
Because of the high acuity of the patients we would prefer you to have recent surgical experience.

- Have one year post registration experience in an acute hospital setting
- Be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate
