The Ophthalmology Department is a friendly, fast-paced environment where our passion for what we do is evident in the volume of patients we treat and the fun we have while treating them.

The Eye Clinic in Greenlane Clinical Centre is a fast paced service with a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The role includes outpatient, Pre-admission, minor procedures, diagnostic and Acute eye clinics. Some of our nurses develop to become Nurse Specialists and run their own clinics, so there is plenty of room and encouragement for career development.

The Waitakere Satellite Clinic based in Waitakere Hospital provides a local service for people living in the western suburbs, we are able to roster nurses for both sites.

As a Registered Nurse, you will have a passion for nursing, good communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging environment. A desire to contribute to our strong team ethic is also crucial. Ophthalmology knowledge would be an advantage, but is not essential as we offer extensive on-the-job training.
