As the subject matter expert, you will be part of a wider Clinical Service Improvement Team that provides support to our 48 care homes, 7 Rehabilitation sites and 22 Villages. You will assist our service to meet the requirements of the NZ Health and Disability Sector Infection Prevention Standards by providing clinical advice, education and by supporting the Infection Prevention coordinators in each care home. You will demonstrate empathy and strong communication skills and will have an affinity with the aged care sector. You will liaise with the DHB infection prevention and public health services as required to ensure a consistent approach with the implementation of best practice principles.
The ideal candidate will be able to function at both an operational as well as strategic level, supporting both clinical practice and wider organisational planning. You will be provided with assistance to undertake appropriate education in order to maintain your knowledge. Evidence of further education in the speciality would be an advantage.
With your knowledge and input, you will help to shape the care homes of the future and be part of a friendly and professional team and can be based in either our Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington offices.
