HELP CHANGE LIVES - JOIN OUR AoD INTENSIVE DAY PROGRAMME

Since 1980, Odyssey has helped thousands of New Zealanders to overcome alcohol, drug and gambling addiction problems. A not-for-profit organization, our focus is helping people turn their lives around. We provide both residential and community services, and work closely with local communities, schools and other health organizations to support adults, youth and their families/whanau across the North Island. They respect us for our caring approach and single-minded devotion to achieving good outcomes for those who come to us for help.

Odyssey is delighted to be introducing an exciting new community programme. The Community Intensive Outpatient team will deliver comprehensive AOD assessments, an 8-week open programme and individual sessions to participants. The programme will be delivered in Auckland and Northland.

We have an exciting full-time opportunity, for a can do individual to join this energetic and friendly team. This role will be based in Whangarei at Odyssey's community facility.

If you have:

  • A relevant social or health-related qualification
  • And/or registration as a Practitioner with DAPAANZ
  • Experience in AoD assessment
  • Experience and skills in group facilitation and individual intervention
  • Experience and skills in motivational interviewing
  • Sound clinical judgement and strong professional boundaries
  • A high level of understanding of Tikanga Maori
  • Report writing skills and computer proficiency
  • A full NZ driver's license

This role will report to the Clinical Manager, CED Northland.
