We have a recruitment opportunity for a Registered Health Practitioner to join our Emergency Mental Health (EMHS) team. EMHS comprises of a multi-disciplinary team who work collaboratively with the Emergency Department, Community Mental Health, Home Based Treatment, Mental Health Inpatient Service, GPs, Psychiatrists and the Police in order to achieve best outcomes for the community of Hawkes Bay

Successful applicants will join a supportive and experienced team who provide acute mental health assessment crisis intervention over a 24/7 roster. The primary function of the EMHS team is to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to people presenting in mental health crisis. Be assured that you are joining a department that is committed to continuous improvement in service delivery for our community as well as providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.

Key attributes for applicants are a passion for positive mental health promotion and improving outcomes for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Being innovative with an enthusiastic and positive attitude alongside excellent clinical skills and a willingness to contribute to the on-going development of the service.
