The Greek National Cafe reopened in May 2017, after a full renovation including a brand new open plan kitchen overlooking a new bar that puts our kitchen team right at the heart of the action, five evenings a week. You’ll have all the latest hot plates and cooking technology along with support from our existing kitchen team, who need another pair of hands on dinner services.

What We Ask Of You: While most restaurants ask you to simply produce great food consistently, we're asking for more, because by joining the Greek National Cafe, you’re joining New Zealand’s longest family run restaurant. That comes with a large portion of character, humour and personality. In return, you’ll get to introduce your own creativity onto a menu that will expand as your talents grow.
Who It Isn’t For: It’s not for everyone however. We are not fine dining. We are not processed foods. We are home-style Greek cuisine made by kiwi Greeks who are sharing what we enjoy with tourists and locals alike.
