The selected person must have:

- Organised, honest and reliable.
- Prepare and cook meals according to customers' orders for Dine-in and take aways.
- Cook bulk food for events.
- Arrange food on plates.
- Periodically evaluate popularity of menus to ensure profitability.
- Train, supervise and if necessary, discipline junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure that work areas are always clean, hygienic and tidy.
- Order and purchase food supplies and cooking equipment as required.
- Supervise and assign cleaning and dishwashing tasks.
- Ensure proper record keeping of supplies and stock.
- Maintain proper stock levels.
- Ensure kitchen compliance with health and safety regulations.
