  • Bring your unique flavour to our prestigious hotel group
  • Great staff benefits including staff meals, uniform and complimentary hotel nights

Heritage Hotel Management operate Heritage, CityLife and Heritage Collection Hotels within New Zealand. Our focus is on delivering The Heritage Experience which promises an exceptional and personalised experience every time a guest stays with us. Our H.O.P.E. values of Honesty, Ownership, Passion and Empathy define us as an organisation. We measure ourselves by these values, and are attributes we look for in all of our employees.

As our Demi Chef you've got a natural ability to succeed in the kitchen and your experience in the culinary world means you can handle the heat of our amazing reputation. Whether you're preparing food or ensuring your work station is immaculate, no task is too big or too small.

Of course, a hotel isn't just a 9-5 environment and that's part of the magic; so you'll need to be available to work a range of shifts across any given week. It could be early mornings or late finishes, so flexibility and reliability are important.

Your fantastic kitchen management skills, enthusiastic quality control and excellent time management are all ingredients that will ensure you feel right at home in this role. After 3-4 years' experience in a similar high end restaurant or hotel means you understand the importance of hygiene in the kitchen and good personal grooming, and this will be reflected in your work station. A relevant Chef's qualification is also required.

With your exceptionally high food standards tucked in your apron pocket, you'll be eager to put your own culinary twist on our wonderful reputation. In return, we offer a competitive wage, a great staff recognition programme and on-going training and development opportunities, so you can grow as we do.

So if you think you can add an extra star to our prestigious kitchen, and are legally entitled to work in New Zealand, then this is your chance to join a fantastic team who truly value our employees.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
