We are a small pub/ restaurant with a reputation for high quality food and service looking for a sous chef who shares our passion for great food.

As part of our team your responsibilities would include:
- Cooking guests' orders according to their preferences
- Employing food safety best practices and helping to ensure that all kitchen staff
members do the same
- Acting with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are
knives and high-temperature surfaces
- Helping the head chef to select choice ingredients that will give dishes the best flavour and experiment to come up with new specialties that will draw diners into the
- Coaching the other members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
- Along with the head chef, determining how much food to order and maintain an appropriate supply at the restaurant
- Keeping up with trends in cooking and the restaurant business to ensure that guests have a positive experience
- Working quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and
- Ensuring that the kitchen is clean and the equipment is maintained
- Taking direction and working with the restaurant's administrative team

In order to be a successful applicant you will need:
-Excellent knowledge of culinary arts with the ability to create cost-effective, high quality dishes with a focus on consistency, timely execution, and presentation
- 1+ years of experience as chef
- Experience managing kitchen staff
-Experience managing stock and ordering
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene regulations
- A valid work visa
- Knowledge of Mexican food would be a bonus
