is a busy vibrant seafood restaurant located just off Courtenay Place, we are looking for a Commis Chef and Chef de partie. This is a full time position, we are open 7Days a week.
We have been awarded 1 Hat and rated in the top 15 restaurants in NZ by Cuisine Magazine in the last 3 years. And 2016 Felix Awards outstanding restaurant.
At Ortega we have a lot of fun but we work very hard and take our cooking very seriously, this is reflected in the great feedback we get from our guests on websites such as Tripadvisor.
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes.
-Excellent communication skills
-Possesses an exceptional work ethic
-Is honest, punctual and reliable
-Has relevant experience at a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie level with a minimun of 2years experience in a similar role.
-Have a genuine interest in food, and the hospitality industry as a whole
-Be well presented and outgoing
-Be able to work fast under pressure and pay attention to detail
-Have a current food hygeine certificate
-Be willing to go the extra mile for our guests
-A willing attitude to learn and be a team player
