So, that’s a little bit about what we do, now to ‘what will you be doing with us?’
We are looking for an enthusiastic Weekend Chef to work at our Southern Cross Brightside site, in Auckland. Hours of work are Part Time during the weekends with the possibility of some relief work.
In this position you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving room service style meals for a private hospital. Following high standards of food safety and hygiene is a must. You will need to be able to cook within budget, assist with menu development as well as ensuring the health and wellbeing of our customers through allergen and nutrition management.
If you’re our perfect candidate you will be hard working, reliable, with a friendly outgoing personality and a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be a qualified chef with at least 2-3 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen and in a similar environment. You will be able to work unsupervised, to a timeline and ideally hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168). You will love to bake, but most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
