Working out of a brand new Restaurant in Pukekohe Auckland, which could server 100+ for a night. This key role will report directly to the owner/general manager and be central to building the team, direction, operation, offering and most aspects of the business.

To be successful you will need a minimum of say 3 years experience as a Head Chef in a medium sized kitchen and have the ability to be both hands on, especially initially, as well as boss, inspirational kitchen leader, mentor and strategic/commercial manager designing and delivering great menu options, strong cost containment, excellent procurement, commercial pricing and of course - bottom line profitability. The kitchen is yours. You will hire, fire, make the decisions and be fully accountable for its operational success.

The special individual we're seeking for this role will also have experience in a senior role within a high volume kitchen, maybe including pre-prepared offerings and/or significant exposure to large event catering.

If you have passion in food industries, we are looking for kitchen hand as well.

The food will be very varied with the key focus being nutritious, healthy, attractive, tasty and exciting but with an equally strong focus on clean, green and sustainability.

Among the very appealing aspects of this key role is the fact that it should only be around 40 hours a week.
