The cafe is a 7 day operation and will require weekend work, we are looking for flexible people. Your shifts will be a mixture of evenings, weekend and breakfast shifts.
Your role will include:
Management of the kitchen team, including; *overseeing of food preparation, production and implementation of seasonal menus.
*Continuous menu improvement and innovation whilst remaining cost conscious and providing costings
*Catering menus for special events like Met Operas and functions
*Ensuring food preparation and presentation are always of the highest standard
*Implementation and management of food safety programs
*Management of supplier relationships
*Implementation and enforcement of all required food and safety initiatives
*Maintain adequate stock levels to enable food preparation
*Advise Café Manager of quantities required for stock ordering
The ideal candidate would:
- have at least 5 years experience
- work well under pressure
- be able to multi-task
- have strong work ethic
- be able to communicate efficiently in English
- be able to follow a prep list & recipes
