Working alongside our department managers this position will identify our future workforce needs and put strategies in place to meet the demand. This is a hands-on position that will support the recruitment and induction process for all new team members in a culturally diverse environment.
A large component of this position is building and filling rosters that deliver consistency and stability for our workforce while ensuring we have the right mix of skills and competency levels on all shifts. You will need to ensure that the rosters meet the contractual and legislative requirements for all employees such as collective agreement conditions and visa conditions. A basic knowledge of the Holidays Act is desirable.
To be a success in this position you must have previous workforce planning experience ideally within a unionised environment. You will be a natural at building strong working relationships with a highly diverse workforce and have excellent communication skills. You will feel comfortable managing conflicting demands and needs.
We are looking for someone who is always thinking two steps ahead. You will have excellent planning, organisation and time management skills, an eye for detail and an analytical mindset. You will need to have strong knowledge of operational planning and deployment.
You will have extensive experience analysing workforce planning demands and trends and effective development of long term planning for resource utilisation.
